David William Morris,
Caroline Metcalfe Gibson
and Tom Oldham

Two Gates towards Ravenstonedale

The Scar Gallery serves a dual purpose as a painting studio for David William Morris and as gallery space, this week showing, in addition to David's and Caroline A Metcalfe-Gibson's work, paintings by Tom Oldham, deservedly known in Cumbria and elsewhere for his strong style in landscape, still-life and figures.

David's paintings are often intuitive explorations of figures and landscape in and around Ravenstonedale.

Caroline's pen and ink work is based on sharp observation, while her watercolours, apparently freer in spirit, still benefit from her firm draughtsmanship.
